About Us

Nada Frazier is Founder of The Sacred Servant. She accompanies and supports people through life and death experiences. Nada provides end-of-life doula services, mentoring, training and community education. The National End of Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) defines an end of life doula as someone who provides “non-medical, holistic support and comfort to the dying person and their family, which may include education and guidance as well as emotional, spiritual or practical care.”*

Nada Frazier accompanies, guides, empowers, comforts, and lovingly supports those in transition, those with advanced illness or approaching end of life, as well as their family and caregivers.** She is often consulted by those wishing to plan for end of life, who have received a life limiting diagnosis, and she provides a confidential safe space for them to process and explore. Family members and friends also reach out to her regarding how best to communicate with and support their loved ones approaching serious illness or end of life. Among other things, she can help with organization of important paperwork and planning. She often accompanies to medical and other important appointments, takes notes and prepares a summary of the appointment. She assists in creating legacy and how one wishes to be remembered by their loved ones through various tools, including memoir writing, storytelling, creating ethical wills and obituaries. She coordinates and officiates at Living Wakes, Celebrations of Life, and Memorial Services. The Sacred Servant also provides consulting, training and mentoring to other end of life doulas, hospice staff, trainers, and volunteers.

The Sacred Servant's name was created as a result of Nada referring to her work for years as "sacred service." Frazier says, "I didn't quite know what to call the end of life doula work I did. When people would ask what I did, I simply started referring to myself as a 'sacred servant.' To me, being a sacred servant means that I simply do my best each day to authentically show up to be in service with integrity and love.”

Nada is a Certified End-of-Life Doula, Advanced Mentorship through Quality of Life Care.*** She has also earned the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance’s Proficiency Badge. Nada serves on the Board of Directors of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and Chairs the NEDA Newsletter Committee. Nada is an ordained non-denominational minister and has served as Spiritual Leader of Unity of Jacksonville Beach since 2015 and supports all spiritual paths. She provides community education, training, and facilitates The Sacred Servant Community Conversations End of Life workshops. She teaches a class entitled “A Death Doula’s Guide to Living More Consciously by Exploring Death” in The University of North Florida’s OLLI Adult Education Program. Since 2008, she has served as a volunteer and Ambassador for Community Hospice & Palliative Care, and completed Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE1) Chaplain intern program.
