As many of you know, Ryan just had knee replacement surgery on August 13, but that hasn’t slowed him down! He’s been working tirelessly to get ready for the MS150 charity ride on October 4, all to raise money for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.

Lakota (A029064) was picked up out of traffic by a citizen on Highway 17 close to Fleming Island. He is now at Clay County Animal Services. Please share in hopes that his family has been looking for him.

We had a great time at the Kanine Social Howl-o-ween Barktacular. There were some amazing costumes, everyone was very creative. The beer was flowing and the food trucks were delicious. What a great event! Congrats to all the winners.

Very sad but also very proud of our local K-9 officers!

Rest In Peace Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office K-9 FANG.

K-9 FANG was shot and killed this morning while apprehending an armed carjacking suspect. The suspect has since been apprehended by another JSO K-9 and is in police custody.

K-9 FANG played a vital roll keeping everyone safe at special events and football games and captured some of the most dangerous criminals in our city. FANG was a three year-old-German Shepherd, dual purpose bomb detector and patrol dog.

We will miss you, FANG. You are gone but will not be forgotten.
