Congratulations to Sadie Watson, RN, Medical ICU, who was named St. Dominic’s most recent DAISY award recipient! The DAISY award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day.

Sadie was nominated by multiple patient families for her compassion, empathy, and outstanding care.

One nomination said, “Sadie was my dad’s nurse in ICU, and she knew EXACTLY how to handle him. Her personality was a perfect fit, and she eased our minds in light of our intense and scary situation. She was also incredibly knowledgeable and helped explain, in extreme detail, everything that was going on and what we could expect for the day, the next few weeks, and the future. She showed patience, understanding, and compassion toward our entire family, not just my dad. I cannot express enough how impressed we all were with Sadie. This is exemplary nursing care.”

Our team members went all out for the third annual DominiCare Trunk or Treat, and the results were boo-rilliant!

A total of 12 creative teams dressed up and transformed their trunks into magical wonderlands, giving our sweet DominiCare students a frightfully fun experience to remember.

Congrats to the “Little Mermaid” team from Nursing for swimming away with the win for best costumes and decorations!
