Pregnancy and Infant loss support of NE Florida

Pregnancy and Infant loss support of NE Florida Welcome to our space for individuals needing support through pregnancy and infant loss She companions families through the loss of their child.

Jennifer Clayton and Vivianne Rice are birth workers in the northeast Florida region who support families navigating pregnancy and infant loss. Jenn is a Registered Nurse, Certified Bereavement Coordinator and a Loss Doula. Jenn understands the path of child loss, as she has experienced early pregnancy loss and the death of her two year old son Othello, as a result of complications from a multi-or

gan transplant

Vivianne is a certified bereavement doula and professional birth photographer. She serves the loss community through her doula work and her gift of photography. She volunteers her time with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. Vivianne is a Loss mom, who knows the pain of moving forward without her son Benjamin. Our goal is to bring together resources for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. No one should have to navigate grief alone.

You don’t HAVE to do anything.
You don’t HAVE to go to the events. You don’t HAVE to read the posts. You don’t HAVE to do the things.

Just because there is a month dedicated to opening eyes to pregnancy and infant loss - doesn’t mean you are required to be involved, share your story or even watch. Do what You need to do at this stage of your journey.

- for the first 8 years after my son died, I held a yearly fundraiser/toy drive for the hospital he spent most of his life in. Then, I STOPPED. I had guilt, how could I NOT show up? But, I needed to not show up. I needed to focus on me, and not giving back for a little bit.
I took time away from the loss community, to focus on who I was in addition to Loss mama. To grow myself. To nurture my soul.

Sometimes stepping away can be healing too. Sometimes not doing the things can calm your soul. That is okay.

Just know there is always someone here in our vast community if you need them.

Yes, we’re still in September, but this is something so near and dear to my heart.♥️ 🌈

I know I’m not alone in this, in fact, we’re a huge community of loss moms and loss dads, loss grandparents, loss siblings, etc. As a birth/ bereavement doula and birth/ bereavement photographer, I embrace it all with an open heart.

This session is part of the healing process as we will include names of your babies in the shoot, you will be gifted a bracelet with your children’s names, and a tiny teddy bear in honor of the baby(ies) no longer with you.

No one should go through loss alone and likewise we should rejoice in each other’s happiness. Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.”🦋

Tonight at with Jenn of Cherry Blossom Birth and Bereavement Services
While Vivianne Forget Me Not Bereavement Doula is companioning a sweet family as they say their hellos and goodbyes.

Join tonight for journaling. Pregnancy and Infant loss is not a time to “keep it in” and “stuff it down”…. Find a way to speak your hurt, pain, sorrow, good moments and memories. Sometimes, talking is a great outlet. For others, journaling helps. We will be here from 6pm-7pm. (Every first Wednesday of the month, find us here at StAugustine birth collective space. Every fourth Thursday, we are at in Jacksonville from 6-7pm)
