At some time in our lives, we will all experience pain- physical and/or emotional discomfort caused by illness, injury, or an upsetting event. Sometimes, pain is actually a good thing. It serves a protective role preventing further harm to the body. In this role, however, pain is not meant to last a long time. Sometimes, pain can continue even when it should not. Chronic or persistent pain is defined as lasting longer than 3-6 months, and it can develop for a lot of different reasons- some of which we’re still not entirely sure about why. Pain and mental health are closely interrelated on a 2 way street: pain can cause depression, and depression can cause pain.

Exercise:
- Promotes release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters that improve mood and reduce stress.
- Increases self-efficacy and resilience.
- Empowers patients to manage their health proactively.
- Improves pain levels and functional ability to complete daily activities.
- Improves overall health including metabolic, cardiac, and cancer.

Physical therapists are in a well positioned role to support people experiencing distress and whose psychological experience is intertwined with movement limitations and pain. We’re proud to announce a new partnership with KJ Reviving Touch !
Founded in 2023 by licensed massage therapist Kenol Jules, KJ Reviving Touch brings a deep passion for wellness and client care to the Jacksonville community.

A little about Kenol:
- He’s a proud husband and father of two boys.
- He earned his degree in Dental Medicine from Universidad Odontologica Dominicana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (2012).
- After immigrating to the U.S., he continued his journey in healthcare by training at the Alpha School of Massage here in Jacksonville.
- He believes in making massage therapy accessible and affordable for everyone, and that your health is an expression of wealth.

His work focuses on personalized treatments tailored to individual needs, promoting a whole body approach to health, and an emphasis on educating his clients on self-care and stress management techniques.

We’re thrilled to partner with a practitioner who shares our values of professionalism, compassion, and dedication to improving lives. Welcome, Kenol!

In 2020, more than 1,000,000 older adults reported experiencing a fall in Florida alone. As physical therapists, we are experts in identifying and addressing problems that contribute to falls. At John Goetze Physical Therapy, our team is adept at treating these problems including:
