Love this! Christ is always ready to receive us; in our messiness, our shame, our neediness, and despite our past distance. He receives us in our doubts, skepticism, and uncertainty. We need not distance ourselves. He is our only true home and rest ❤️

When we can understand, we can begin intentionally addressing patterns of behavior and default modes. When we understand, we can begin writing a different story for future generations ❤️

We don’t yell because we’re bad parents — we yell because we’re overwhelmed, overstretched, and often carrying more than anyone can see. 💛
When we start to understand why we lose it, we can start to meet our own needs instead of reacting from exhaustion.
