CPR Armageddon! It's thursday, so CPR is in the air.
Sadly, this may be the last of the fall sessions, as recert and new classes are started, other projects beckon. Come by tonight to challenge LUCAS, who remains the gold standard of high quality CPR.

I currently have 20 cards that have not been picked up. You put in the time, you deserve the card. FYI - spam and junk folders are notorious for eating mail.

Tonight's the night! CPR on a crisp, fall evening. Join us at the RPS Jasper Base (3925 Old Birmingham HWY Jasper AL 35501) for some good old fashioned learning. CPR for RPS employees, but more important, the general public. If you were interested in the online CPR class, WE CAN DO THAT TOO! Now I can sell you the online component, and complete your in person skills assessment too. Every Thursday in October, starting at 5PM. Still looking for the LUCAS destroyer. No one up for the challenge?

Yellowhammer Training is excited to announce that we will be introducing regularly scheduled classes. Every Thursday at the RPS Jasper base, starting at 5pm, a certified CPR instructor will be present, to teach CPR to whoever shows up. We will provide recertification to those whose cards have or are close to expiring. For RPS employees, this would be a No Cost Class, as provided by your employer through a sponsorship with Yellowhammer Training.
For those of you outside of RPS, there will be a charge. Our normal rate is 99.00 per student. For this term, we will be cutting our CPR rate to 45.00 per student. Greater than 50% savings!
For those that would rather not spend 3 hours in a classroom setting, the American Heart Association offers a blended learning experience, completing the learning portion online, at your pace, and an in person skills assessment performed at the RPS Jasper base (3925 Old Birmingham HWY Jasper AL 35501). The in person component takes about 15-30 minutes depending on your preparation. To complete the online portion, you must create an account with the American Heart Association https://elearning.heart.org/courses/25 and pay 32.50. The skills assessment portion will cost 25.00.
Someone will be present Every Thursday in September and October. If this turns out to be a needed thing, we will evaluate continuing this. We would appreciate and Email or message, that you are planning on attending, but will be there anyway. The more people we have in a class, the bigger the benefit to you as the student.

Saturday evening training with our community heroes. Combined education in auto extrication, spinal protection, bleeding and shock. We are so humbled by the selflessness and dedication these heroes show for thier community.

Yellowhammer Training will be available Wednesday July 13 for an open CPR Class. Bear in mind, this is not part of the Walker County VFD CPR Project, therefore, not a free class. If you need your CPR card in the next few days, contact me, John Haggerty or Dustin Kemble to schedule a convenient time.
