Another therapist posted this and I had to share 💕

Yearly reminder before my clients are bombarded with New Year ads to “fix” themselves; and this goes for men as well...

I hear it daily, and I understand. “Sorry my feet are so bad, I haven’t had a pedicure in awhile,” “sorry I didn’t shave my legs,” “please ignore my cellulite,” “sorry my hair/makeup is such a mess,” the list could go on and on 😔

One of the most heartbreaking things about my job is the number of women that apologize to me about their bodies. And as a woman, I understand that feeling. There is a ridiculous standard set for every single inch of my physical being. I feel that self consciousness when I’m on a massage table, too. But as a therapist, I don’t look for flaws in my clients. I don’t see flaws in my clients. I see stories. I see trials. I see triumphs. I see strength. Sometimes we just need a quiet hour. Sometimes we need to talk and vent. Sometimes we need to laugh and share. All of these things are fine. My room, my table, is a safe space. Please don’t feel the need to apologize about ANYTHING, especially your body 💖 And remember, emotions don’t scare me either.

Hey guys! I know I've been MIA for a few months. I've been busy with work of wedding planning. But I'm back! And I need your opinions.

Last year at Christmas we did a toy drive for the peds unit at Memorial. We did so awesome, that I want to do something again this year, but I need your help deciding who we can give to. In the comments, write down a charity, organization, etc, that we can give to again this year.

There might be a gift in store if there a lot of suggestions!

Here are the guidelines for how we are going to have to navigate our massages for a while. I will still be cleaning all tools, surfaces, etc, as I did before, but I will be elevating my protocols.

💆 I now ask that everyone who comes in to wash hands prior to the appointment.

💆 Masks are required by law for me to be able to operate, so please come wearing one. (Just needs to be something that covers your nose and mouth other than your shirt or sleeve.)

💆 I do plan on taking temperatures just as an extra precaution.

💆 Please reschedule your appointment if you or anyone you have been around has been sick in any way. If you show if with any symptoms, the appointment will be rescheduled.

💆 I do ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your appointment.

💆 During checkout I ask that you have exact change if possible. If paying with credit card, I will be signing for you and wiping your card with an alcohol wipe before handing it back.

💆 With the extra cleaning between clients, I do ask that you be patient if I am running behind.
