Monroe Manor would like to introduce our MDS coordinator Julie Hentz

Julie Hentz has been a dedicated member of the Monroe Manor team for the past eight years, serving with compassion and professionalism as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). With an impressive 36 years of nursing experience, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and a caring heart to her role.
A native of Iowa, Julie graduated from Central Decatur High School and earned her LPN certification from Southwestern Community College in 1989. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing rehabilitation, MDS, medical-surgical, and pulmonary units, among others. Her wide-ranging expertise and leadership make her a valued part of the Monroe Manor team.
Julie currently holds certifications in Infection Control and Phlebotomy and has fulfilled multiple key responsibilities at Monroe Manor, including MDS coordination, physician rounding, care planning, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), audits, admissions, and state survey preparations.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys gardening, home life, and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of three children, grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of six. Her favorite pastimes include listening to ’70s rock and roll and watching John Wayne movies.
Julie shares that her greatest influences have been her father and her spiritual faith. Her advice to the next generation is to “be honest, stand strong, and do not back down.” When asked to sum up her life in one sentence, Julie reflects, “God has been good.”
Monroe Manor proudly recognizes Julie Hentz for her many years of dedication, skill, and compassion. Her commitment to quality care and her steady presence make her one of our most valued team members.
