The families YOU help through this program don't qualify for other programs in our communities for various reasons. Many, if not most of our families have faced or are facing serious medical issues, death of one of the parents or a child, loss of their home, job or a myriad of other catastrophic things and many, if not all, have never been in the position of needing help before. All are personally screened and interviewed and each is referred by other agencies, churches, businesses, medical professionals, etc. "Hope for Christmas" only helps a family ONE TIME - not repeatedly. Please be visiting with your family, church, business, office, clubs and others about what you can do to help. We need YOU to help those who sit in the next cubical, the family you sit next to in church, the family you saw in the hospital waiting room, or maybe even your neighbor...please seriously consider helping a needy family....that could easily be you or I. One last thought...each year, we receive texts, emails, letters and phone calls from the families, thanking YOU for giving them "Hope for Christmas". AND each has been able to come back and help another family or done other things to help with Christmas the next year. If you can't adopt a family or individual, you can help wrap gifts when the time comes, or you can do some shopping, deliver gifts, and many other things. Monetary donations will once again be matched and when we utilize certain businesses to do our purchases for those who don’t get adopted – those will be matched as well!! (and we are blessed to have that again!!!). (SO IF YOU GIVE $20, IT AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES $40. THEN WHEN OUR SHOPPERS GO OUT, IT BECOMES $80! THIS IS A BLESSING!)
This year our “Hope for Christmas” program is honored to have Mindy Ulstad and Patty Miller as the co-chairs! They are very special friends to the program!
