RIDE to GIVE

RIDE to GIVE Based in Jefferson, GA, an hour outside of Atlanta, RTG was founded by Kaete Nazaroff and her husband, fifteen-time Ironman Dave Nazaroff.

Ride to Give is a 501c3 (tax ID 46-2952297) non-profit charity that turns athletic ability into fundraising power for families with children who are disabled, injured, or ill. In the summer of 2013 Dave completed the first annual Ride from Nyack, NY, their former home, to Atlanta (over 900 miles by bicycle) in 5 days to raise awareness and donations for the family of Tripp Halstead (Tripp Halstead

Updates), a toddler who suffered a traumatic brain injury in fall of 2012. Ride to Give has raised over to $2 million dollars since March of 2013 and has helped almost 200 families. We raise funds for medical equipment, travel expenses, and out of pocket costs related to having a medically fragile child. We pride ourselves on our transparency and are happy to answer questions and provide documentation of our IRS status. We retain 20% of funds raised after fundraising fees, which are roughly 5%, and give to causes throughout the year other than the ones we specifically fundraise for. Our 2 employees take a modest salary of $15,000 a year, and we keep our overhead as low as possible to stay in the top tier of charity rankings. The RTGA is the Ride to Give Army, and we are 107,700 members strong. Our slogan is “Give a Little, Change a Lot,” and we are doing just that, changing the lives of children every day. Thank you for your support! Please read more about us and what we do at www.ridetogive.org

*Contributions are solicited with the understanding that the donee organization (Ride to Give, 501c3 tax ID 46-2952297) has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds. Questions about how your donation is used can be answered on our website at http://bit.ly/2g1vWSe.

RTG ARMY, before Covid we raised upwards of 2 million dollars for over 200 families. If you remember, even the smallest amount adds up. Please help this Jefferson family who is so dear to us have peace of mind financially as they begin the most challenging fight of their lives.

Days before Anna Phelan was due to start her Freshman year of college, after a number of varied symptoms, Anna was diagnosed with a Grade 4 malignant brain tumor. Categorized as a diffuse midline glioma this tumor demonstrates a particularly aggressive H3K27M mutation. Anna has begun a 6 week course of radiation locally in Athens, Georgia but she and her family continue to consult multiple institutes regarding her next line of treatment. It is likely that the Phelans may need to travel out of state for consultations and possible treatments.
