How can we judge, when our own hands hold shadows?

None of us are perfect. We all carry mistakes, flaws, and past hurts—things that shape us in ways we don’t always see.
Yet too often, it’s easier to spot the faults in others than to face our own.

Before we rush to judge, maybe it’s worth pausing and asking ourselves:
What shadows do I hold? What cracks have I been avoiding?

Judging others without understanding our own imperfections only keeps us stuck.
Real growth comes when we acknowledge our faults honestly—and extend that same grace to those around us.

So next time you feel quick to criticize, remember:
We’re all works in progress, and no one’s hands are truly clean.

Grief

You may have been told to “move on,” or “you should be over it by now.” And although these words are often meant to help, they can shift you into shame, implying that you should be stronger.

But carrying grief is not a sign of weakness or failure; it’s a testament to the love and connection that shaped your heart. There is nothing to be ashamed of; it is part of your tender story. And when you feel ready, you can transmute its heaviness into something new.

Grief is not a crack in my spirit.
It is the echo of love that had nowhere else to go.

It carries the weight of a thousand names —
some I’ve spoken,
some buried in my bones.

There are days it feels like stone.
Heavy. Cold. Ancient.
But even stone remembers fire.

This sorrow that I continue to carry is not weakness —
It is ceremony.
It is ash and ember
and all that still glows beneath.

It’s what remains from loving with my whole being.

So, for a moment, I sit with it.
Not to be consumed —
but to be transformed.
