✨ Let’s take a moment to talk about how important it is to TALK.

Most couples I work with have this issue.

1. Issue with being Vulnerable
- Many couples can’t communicate effectively by expressing their emotions, they can’t identify the root of their behavior or what triggered them, and they unjustly blame or get angry at their spouse causing a repeated pattern of withdrawal or distance.

2. Lack of Empathy
How many times have we heard the term, “try put yourself in their shoes” but often time we can’t do this with our spouse. This is often caused by expectation that are unreasonable or unmet leading to resentment or some kind of feeling of frustration or anger. This can also be caused a lack of emotional intelligence and not knowing how to be sincere, emotional or empathetic the way your partner needs you to be.

3. Majority of marriages that I have dealt with deal with communication issues. A lot of the time couples are not functioning on the same team and rather pitted against their partner, seeing everything they do as an attack, getting defensive or threatening. You must always think positively of your spouse and remember that you married this person to walk through like WITH you side by side, so its best to nurture the relationship and treat them with respect, kindness and giving them benefit of the doubt. The kids will get older and lead their life one day, but you will be left alone with the fragments of the relationship that you nurtured or neglected.
