Welcome to the ION team, Claudio! Claudio Nunes recently joined us as the new Senior Director of Operations - he is a seasoned operations exec with deep expertise in custodial management for complex, high-volume environments. Over more than a decade in public and private sector leadership roles, he has delivered operational excellence through strategic planning, team development, vendor management, and scalable processes.

Claudio has overseen operations at many of Canada’s most iconic sites, including the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Union Station, Toronto City Hall, and the Distillery District. Known for driving innovation and elevating service quality, he excels at aligning daily operations with strategic goals while fostering strong client relationships and high-performance standards!

It's a scorcher out there! Here are important safety tips for those of you working outdoors or in facilities with no A/C:

💧 Stay Hydrated:
- Ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and avoid fatigue and heat-related illnesses. Temperatures over 35C (95F) require additional breaks and hydration.
❄️ Take Breaks:
- Schedule regular breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas to prevent overheating. Listen to your body and rest when needed. Fill your water bottles often.
🦺 Wear Appropriate Gear:
- Lightweight, breathable clothing and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) are crucial for staying safe on the job. Don’t forget about hats & sunscreen.
🥵 Be Aware of Heat Exhaustion Symptoms:
- Signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke include dizziness, nausea, slurred speech, headache, and confusion. If you or a coworker experience these symptoms, seek medical attention right away
