The autonomic nervous system is a component of the peripheral nervous system that regulates involuntary physiologic processes including heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, digestion, and sexual arousal.
The autonomic nervous system is split up into two sections.
i) sympathetic
ii) parasympathetic
The sympathetic nervous system invokes the fight or flight response. During this period of time a person will experience increased heart rate, chest palpitations, increased rate of breathing, shortness of breath, numbness and tingling in the arms and legs, butterflies in the stomach, lump in the throat, dry mouth, and dilated pupils. These are all responses that prepare your body to either fight or flight.
The parasympathetic nervous system helps to calm the body down by slowing the heart rate and breathing, increasing saliva production, constricting pupils, and relaxes muscles.
The Autonomic nervous system(ANS) plays a crucial role in our lives on a daily basis.
However a lot of people struggle with the dysfunction of this nervous system, this dysfunction triggers a constant or frequent recurring state of the sympathetic nervous system.
There are many underlying cause to the Dysfunction of the ANS, but one of the most common underlying causes is toxins overload.
Getting rid of toxic etiologies from your body system(full body Detox), can reverse the dysfunction of the ANS.
