lunch & snack for my 8 year old! I’m not sure if we will even get to eat lunch today before I check him out early but I know his anxiety would be through the roof if I sent him without 🥺 so we can just eat it at home later, if necessary!

Since today is the last day before thanksgiving break, they are doing a “Turkey Trot” at school & with his arm being in a cast he is not allowed to participate- so I told him I’ll pick him up early!

a fun lunch for his first day back to school after getting his arm in a cast! I tried to pack things easy to eat/open with only one hand.

Do you think he will find the 6..7… carrots & sandwich cool or cringe? 😅😅😅

Another community pantry restock!! Next week will be back with lots of Thanksgiving items and some more kids snacks (Cheerios, Apple sauce, granola bars) for the week they are home from school 🫶

I’ve also coordinated with our school to help send extra bags home with kids during break who might experience food insecurity. It’s never my place to know who needs it, but I will always see it as my responsibility to keep feeding as many people as we can!!!
