One of my very first clients has been a repeat client a couple times now & it’s been such an honor to watch their family grow. While doing a prenatal for them the other day their oldest made me a Valentine & it is the sweetest Valentine I have received. Being asked to be a part of a clients birth team is a huge deal to me, they are trusting me with one of the most intimate events of their lives & I always hold that very sacred, to have them keep coming back just leaves me speechless. Hope you all have a Valentine’s Day as amazing & thoughtful as this sweet Valentines I received, Happy Valentine’s Day from me to all of you ♥️

Happy Friday everyone!!!

As some of you have noticed I’ve been a little MIA lately & so I just wanted to give you all a little update. From June - December my family suffered 7 incredibly close losses of friends & family, that alone took a lot out of me as I stepped back to grieve & be with my family through those hard times. I also suffered a terrible account back in October when I was golfing in a charity event, stepped onto a tree root & rolled my ankle. Unfortunately it was one of the worst breaks possible & according to my Drs, I’m very lucky they were able to save my foot & leg. I spent 20 days in the hospital & 3 months in a wheelchair. I’m finally walking again in a boot & working on getting into a regular shoe now, but I still have a long road of rehab to get my full range of motion back, every day I am gaining ground though & that keeps me focused.

Luckily I have the world’s best patients, and through it all I was able to continue seeing & accepting patients as they all had patience with me on virtual visits. I had my first delivery since my accident this past weekend & while it was challenging, it felt great to be back & I could not have had a better team all around to help care for me while I cared for my patients as well.

I am now back to in person visits & am already booking up for this year, (I have 2 more openings in March & 2 in June, all others before then are booked, and after are open still). I personally wanted to thank each & everyone of you for the continued support & trust that you place in me knowing that regardless of my situation, I will always put my patients first & provide the best care that I can. Thank you all for an incredible 2024, even with no deliveries past my accident I managed to help bring 7 perfect & healthy babies earthside while supporting their incredible parents, (to already have 6 babies on the books for this year is exciting to know we can potentially double last years count 😍). I promise 2025 will be a year to remember with lots of incredible changes in providing care to those who trust me in helping them grow their families.

While most of my clients are full spectrum clients, (meaning I support them through prenatals, labor, & delivery in addition to their postpartums), I do still offer just postpartum to support to anyone in need. Can you imagine the decrease in postpartum depression rates if everyone had the support of a postpartum doula? 😍🙌🏻

For anyone affected by Hurricane Helene, East Tennessee Midwifery and Yonder Midwifery are joining forces to provide free midwifery services for those in need. The birthing suite shown here is located in Oak Ridge, TN, and is available as a safe and welcoming space for those who can no longer give birth where they planned. We are also offering prenatal and postpartum care to those in need and birth services in other safe and accessible locations. Wow, is it really October?!?! 🍂

It’s definitely been awhile since I have posted and touched base with you all, for those who aren’t aware, I had to step back some over the summer as my family & I took some personal time to process the loss of an immediate family member in addition to moving & remodeling. I appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, cards, messages, and more from all of you who were aware & reached out during our difficult times, thank you will never be enough. 🥹

I’m happy to say I’m back in the office & hitting the ground running again! I’m already booking into next spring so below is a picture of slots still available, (don’t wait to reach out though as they are filling fast 👶🏼).

There will be exciting changes coming & being announced here as I jump back into things so definitely stay tuned, until then enjoy this pic of me back in the office doing dual purposing of my baby wrap for a very spoiled Yorkie 😆
