October is Sensory Processing Disorder Awareness Month.

For children and adults with SPD, everyday experiences, sounds, textures, lights, or movement, can feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, or completely unnoticed.

It’s not a behavior problem, it’s a neurological difference. Noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and sensory-friendly spaces aren’t “extras”; they’re essential supports that help.

New car seat law takes effect October 1st.

Under the law, passengers under 2 years old must be in a rear-facing car seat; passengers from 2 to 4 years old must have a car seat with an internal harness; and passengers from 4 to 8 years old must be in a forward-facing seat or high back or backless booster seat.
