Good Grief Camp

Good Grief Camp Welcome to Good Grief Group and Camp
Offering quality bereavement services and events for those in Montana suffering from loss.

We are devoted to supporting individuals through the expression and healing of grief since 2014. Good Grief Camp is for children ages 6-12 years old who have lost a loved one. At camp the kids get to meet other kids who understand what they have gone through. Through out camp the kids have the opportunity to "get their feelings out" while memorializing their loved one through a variety of fun therapeutic actives.

Our second annual Tween Relief Grief Camp, held October 16–18, was truly something special. Over the three days, we watched Tweens come together with courage, compassion, and open hearts—supporting one another in ways that were gentle, genuine, and deeply moving.

From shared stories to peaceful moments in nature, from laughter during activities to the heartfelt circles like the one pictured, these campers created a space where no one had to carry their grief alone. They listened, comforted, and lifted each other up, forming connections that were honest and healing.

This camp once again reminded us how resilient, caring, and extraordinary tweens can be when given room to feel and a community to belong to. It was a weekend of hope, healing, and true togetherness—one we’ll carry with us for a long time.

We’re overjoyed to share that Good Grief Group raised a total of $58,295 during the Whitefish Community Foundation’s Great Fish Challenge — including an amazing $17,000 matching grant from the circle of giving! Wow!

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it’s all thanks to you — our incredible community and the Whitefish Community Foundation. Your support helps us continue offering our grief camps and programs at no cost to families as they navigate their journey through loss and healing.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for believing in our mission and helping us bring light to those walking through grief.
