I’ll admit it — sometimes I forget my twins are their own little people. 👶👶

It can be hard not to compare them to each other.. It’s a new journey for all of us.

One finishes their bottle, the other doesn’t.

One rolls over, the other’s just not there yet.

And that’s okay. 💛

Reminding myself that each baby grows, learns and meets milestones on their own time.

Any twin mamas out there relate?? 🙋‍♀️

The girls turned 6 months old last week and we didn’t start solids..

Here’s why:

🔴They just weren’t quite ready 🔴

Every baby (and twin!) develops on their own timeline – and sitting up independently is a key developmental sign to watch for.

Let’s talk safety. When a baby can sit upright on their own (or with minimal support), their head, neck and trunk are aligned. This helps facilitate a safe swallow. If a baby is slouched, leaning back, or flopping forward, it increases the risk of choking.

The girls were also born at 36 +1 so technically they may not be ready for solids until closer to 7 months old. We’ll just take it week by week and assess their readiness. Waiting just a little longer can make a big difference.

Did you baby start solids right at 6 months? Share your experience!⬇️

I keep a few gems, but let’s be honest — I don’t need 47 versions of a blue scribble 🤪🫠

Anyone else secretly declutter the art pile when no one’s looking? 👀
