You’ve asked, we’ve answered - KCMMT is providing a highly requested private practice focused CMTE! “Here, There, and Everywhere: Life as a Private Practice MT” is a 3 hour event consisting of presentations and a panel session where you’ll hear from experienced professionals on considerations in starting and managing a music therapy private practice. These board-certified experts include Kansas City’s very own Kristi Hanson, owner of Stepping Stones KC, Rachelle Morgan, MA, founder of Soundscaping Source, and Maggie Rodgers, with over 42 years of clinical experience in numerous settings. This in-person event will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9am-12pm in Kansas City, MO at UMKC's Conservatory, Grant Hall. Join us for KCMMT at the Royals! We invite you to our summer social at The K on Sunday, July 27th to cheer on the Royals as they take on the Braves.

KCMMT is happy to provide its members with a FREE ticket for entry, as well as offer $10 tickets to any non-member friends and family they would like to bring. Parking costs are not provided by KCMMT.

The game begins at 1:10PM, but join the rest of your KCMMT peers beginning at 11AM for a potluck tailgate before entering the stadium for the game.

KCMMT is hosting the 3-credit ethics CMTE "Exploring a Trauma-Informed Ethical Decision-Making Framework" presented by Christopher Beach, PhD, MT-BC, NICU-MT, CCTP. Attendees will engage in discussion and case study scenarios to conceptualize a model of ethical decision-making for their practice.
