Crying is your body’s way of releasing built up stress. When you have a build up of emotion it gets released in your tears. Don’t push it down, don’t hold it back, just let yourself have a good cry—it won’t last forever and the release will free up space for healing ❤️‍🩹

In DBT we ask the “life worth living” question to help identify treatment goals.
What would make life tolerable? What would a life look like that you didn’t want to numb out from on a daily basis? What do you need in your life to actually want to live each day?

Feelings are caused but we don’t really choose them, listen to your feelings but be careful what you do with them- feelings are always valid but behaviors are not
