The Blob (1958) - An gelatinous alien amoeba emerges from a meteorite that crashed to Earth. It begins consuming the flesh of everything it touches in the quaint town of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

As it eats flesh, the red glob grows larger and more aggressive, eventually reaching the size of a building. The town's teenagers try to alert their parents and authorities to the threat, but dozens of people are eaten before the townsfolk begin to heed the warnings...

I took my 11 year old son to see The Blob this week at our local theater. His favorite part was when the doctor could be seen through the blinds being consumed by the Blob in his office.
