This is not my typical post and I’ve been quiet for a minute. Humble and Grateful for what I have achieved with and despite of others 🩵

Today I look to the past and to the future with so much gratitude. It’s a world I’ve created and a passion I believe and live by with every breath I take. It’s a gift and as I reflect, it is a very special gift.

So, to anyone still replaying yesterday - it’s in my rearview:

I see you back there.

I’m not slowing down.

I’m not circling back.

My energy belongs to those in my tomorrow - with the thousands of patients who trust us with their entire self needs, desires and health.

I actually love that others are adopting our ways - extended in-depth consults, real medical training and hopefully oversight, protected patient time, evidence based protocols, and 20 years of medical and patient experience.

Raise the tide; our medicine needs it.

Sadly the systems and checklists are easy to copy.

The part that can’t be duplicated is the 24/7 dedication and patient care - obsession with doing this right, for every patient, every time.

FDA Initiates Removal of "Black Box" Warnings from Menopausal Hormone Replacement Therapy Products
November 10, 2025

The FDA has announced the removal of "black box" warnings related to cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, and probable dementia from the labeling of menopausal hormone replacement therapy (HRT) products, reflecting updated evidence on the risk-benefit profile for women initiating HRT within 10 years of menopause onset or before age 60.

The FDA is working with manufacturers to update product labeling, removing references to risks of cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, and probable dementia for systemic HRT products, while retaining the boxed warning for endometrial cancer in systemic estrogen-alone products.

HRT remains FDA-approved for the relief of vasomotor symptoms (e.g., hot flashes, night sweats), genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and, for some products, the prevention of osteoporosis.

Recent analyses indicate that initiating HRT within 10 years of menopause onset or before age 60 is associated with reduced all-cause mortality, lower fracture risk, and decreased risks of myocardial infarction, cognitive decline, and Alzheimer's disease, without increased cancer mortality.

The FDA's updated labeling will recommend starting HRT within 10 years of menopause onset or before age 60, with the decision on timing and duration individualized between prescriber and patient.

The agency has also recently approved a generic version of Premarin (conjugated estrogens) tablets and a non-hormonal medication for moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms.
