Not what a calligrapher would call "calligraphy".
It's more like what we might call "literacy".
It's a remarkable technique, though, and
she certainly could develop her handwriting
to a point that it could be called "calligraphy".
But that level of skill would likely take years
& a considerable number of pick-up trucks.

I seriously need some help moving a small table-top printing press from my car to a cart on the dock of the Hobbs Building. This was the press I used for demos at Missouri Town last weekend. There was a time I could move it with help of one other person. Now my joints are shot and most of my friends are limited by age &/or accumulated injuries. I will treat any one who can help to a BBQ sandwich and, of course, the studio's sincere thanks.
The additional weight is burning through my gas money and tomorrow I need to take a load of yard waste to MO Organics.
Two fit folks can do it, or four who aren't so fit. 😕

On Monday, June 3rd, for a third year now,
the gracious & inimitable Cynthia van Roden
has joined me at the Plaza fountain to help
Hospice of Kansas City raise funds to sustain
their work. Most of the luminaries are labeled
with inkjet-printed transparent stickers.
For whatever reason, some online preorders
evaporate and the donor must settle for our
home-made bag writin'. NB the typo I'm just
now D'OH!-ing over on the luminaria I did for
Cynthia's sister Joan. Sorry, CvR !
I shall remedy that one directly.
Larry Johnson is one of my oldest friends.
I met him at Bible School in the Fifties.
Parkinson's overtook him.
I am assured he is doing
much better these days.
