My one-word intention for 2026: Receive
For a long time, I thought growth meant doing more, giving more, holding more.
This year I’m practicing something different.
Receive.
Receive support without earning it.
Receive care without deflecting it.
Receive love, touch, money, and presence without rushing to give something back.
Not because I haven’t worked hard
but because I don’t need to prove my worth anymore.
My short vow for the year is simple:
I allow what is offered to land.
When I feel the urge to push, fix, or over-function, I’m learning to pause and ask:
What would receiving look like here?
This isn’t passive.
It’s embodied.
It’s vulnerable.
And it’s deeply intentional.
Sharing this as inspiration and accountability.
If you’re choosing a word for the year, maybe let it be one that softens you… not one that demands more from you.
