BREAKING: LB 626, the Nebraska Heartbeat Act, just overcame an eight-hour filibuster and advanced through the first round of debate on a 33-16 vote! We needed exactly 33 votes to end the filibuster and advance the bill, and your tireless prayers and advocacy made the difference.

Nebraska is a pro-life state, and our laws should reflect that! LB 781 would prohibit abortion after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected.

Dismemberment abortions are now illegal in Nebraska! The Nebraska Legislature just overwhelmingly passed LB 814 into law. Today, we celebrate that pro-life senators ended a brutal procedure performed on living, preborn babies. Tomorrow, we remain committed to advancing life so that all methods of abortion are unthinkable.

Nebraska state senators just advanced LB 814 through the first round of debate with 34 voting "Yes," 11 voting "No," and 4 “Present-Not-Voting." The bill, which ends the dismemberment of living, preborn children in Nebraska, is now one step closer to Governor Ricketts' desk!

Thank you for contacting state senators in support of LB 814 and praying for the end of dismemberment abortion. There are only four days left in the legislative session, and LB 814 will be back on the agenda for a second round vote next Tuesday.

The pull motion for LB 814 was successful! Senators voted 30 to 8, with 7 not voting, to bring the bill to end dismemberment abortion out of the Judiciary Committee and to the full legislature.
