Have you noticed a crack near your sink? 😟
Most of the time, this happens because there’s a metal rod hidden under the stone. It was placed there to help during installation and to keep the stone safe.
But if the countertop wasn’t sealed well, water can get in. Over time, the metal starts to rust. When metal rusts, it grows and pushes from the inside, causing the stone to crack.
That’s what happened here. We carefully took the broken part apart, removed the rusty metal, and put everything back together the right way.
Now this beautiful Pietra Cardoso countertop is safe, strong, and ready to last for many more years 🙌
