Nature meditation classes that combine skills from meditation and environmental education to help form a deeper connection with the earth. We notice and connect with the plants, animals, energy, and history of the space in which we reside. This can bring feelings of peace and belonging in a world in which we can feel so disconnected. On my journey in life thus far, I've been led to Reiki, meditation, and environmental education as ways to make these connections. Separately and in different combinations, they can help one find their way back to their inner, true self over and over again. It is this that I long to share with others. Current Offerings:
1. Reiki Healing Sessions (virtual; in-person coming soon) - Virtual appointments are available on request. Please email rootinginplace@gmail.com to book an appointment.
2. Meditation Classes - Sam is currently working as the Assistant Education Director at Stonewall Farm. Through this work, she is offering in-person meditation classes at Stonewall Farm in Keene, NH on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month 5:30-7p. These meditations typically incorporate reiki and/or environmental education. Please email sam@stonewallfarm.org for more information, and to register.
3. Environmental Education - Sam is currently working as the Assistant Education Director at Stonewall Farm, and through this work offers a variety of farm & nature programming to children and adults. Visit stonewallfarm.org for more information. Sam is the humble creator of Rooting in Place. While working toward her undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and English, she met the most wonderful mentor, Pat, who introduced her to the worlds of environmental education and Reiki. In these worlds, Sam became more in-tune with her inner true self, and found a kind of excitement and enchantment she had never experienced before. She soon found herself sitting for hours in the woods, just waiting to see what might come into her awareness. With this practice, she naturally came to appreciate meditation's benefits for one's mental health, and its aid in the learning process (you notice and learn a lot when you sit in one place for hours at a time!). In 2015, Sam earned both undergraduate degrees and became certified as a Reiki I practitioner. In the years since, Sam has dabbled in meditation, earned a master's degree in Environmental Education, and became certified as a Reiki II practitioner. She continues to find joy in exploring the many ways that Reiki, meditation, and environmental education can be used to help humans of all ages connect with their inner, true selves and the world around them.
