For this season, we have prayed 🙏🏾

I believe this is Kali’s story to tell, but I have to share a piece of it.

In October 2021, track and field found Kali (I tried my best to keep my kids from the track lol. That’s a different story for a different day 😬).

She ran a partial season in a smaller league in 2022, and in 2023 she hoped to run a full season in … but, her brother’s movie booking changed those plans.

Then came 2024. We thought this would finally be her season, but pain in her body said otherwise. Instead of meets, there was rehabilitation.

Work. Disappointment. Waiting.

But Kali remained. She kept showing up. Even when it looked like maybe track wasn’t for her, she continued to fight for the dream God has placed in her heart.

We prayed that in 2025 she’d be able to run a healthy and full season. We even decided as a family that if Jaden booked work, it would have to be local so Kali could see her season through.

Her 2025 season didn’t end with a ticket to Junior Olympic regionals, but it ended well! It ended full. It ended healthy!

It ended with 3 PRs in one weekend! With progress. With perseverance. With the quiet victory of staying in it.

This season reminded me: don’t give up on dreams just because they might not be unfolding the way you hope. Even in seasons of delay or rehabilitation, remain encouraged. Embrace and enjoy YOUR journey.

I am so grateful for her amazing coach , her chiropractor, her track buddies, and our village!
