Hi, I’m Angie. I spent 10 years as a school counselor, helping kids and families navigate life’s ups and downs. In 2024, I opened my own private practice in Katy, Texas, where I now focus on working with adults, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, trust issues, communication challenges, and more.

My approach is trauma-informed, and I’m trained in effective therapies like IFS, CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Most importantly, I’m here to meet you where you are, no judgment, just support. Together, we’ll find practical tools to help you feel better and move forward.

And if you like dogs, my therapy pup Charlie is happy to join us during sessions! I offer online and in-person therapy, and when the weather’s nice, we can even do walk-and-talk sessions because sometimes a change of scenery makes all the difference.

Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with a deep passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strength. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University, where I discovered my passion for supporting others as a kindergarten teacher. That experience sparked a desire to make an even greater impact, leading me to pursue a career in counseling. I went on to complete my Master’s of Education in Counseling and Development at Lamar University, which equipped me with the tools to guide others toward healing and growth.

Currently, I work as a high school counselor, where I have the privilege of supporting students through a variety of emotional and personal challenges. I specialize in helping individuals ages 6 and up who are dealing with anxiety, depression, questions of identity and belonging, grief, self-esteem, or trauma. 🌿 Ever heard of Grounding Techniques? They’re incredible tools you can use to manage stress in your daily life. Grounding helps bring your attention to the present moment, offering a pause from overwhelming thoughts or anxiety. 🌟 Imagine standing barefoot on the cool grass, feeling each blade underfoot, or diving into the scent and texture of your favorite book page by page. Simple, right?

Here are some expert tips to practice grounding anywhere:

1ļøāƒ£ **5-4-3-2-1 Exercise**: Engage your senses by naming five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste.

2ļøāƒ£ **Mindful Breathing**: Focus on your breath. Feel it enter your nose, fill your belly, and then slowly exit.
