I highly recommend the Texas Promise Fund. Any age child can enroll, and it helps lock in college tuition at today’s rates. Family members can easily contribute through a link, and you can start with as little as $20 a month. If your child doesn’t end up going to college or trade school, there are options to get your money back. A first birthday is a great time to share the link with family instead of getting toys your child doesn’t really need. I also recommend the new Trump Fund that came out today— even if your child doesn't qualify for the newborn match, investing now gives your child more opportunities in the future. This could change their life and allow them to travel and pursue dreams that are not always possible.
