What is Biblical Counseling at Encounter God’s Promise?
If you asked me what Biblical Counseling is at Encounter God’s Promise, I’d tell you it’s care for your soul. It’s not about labels or quick fixes—it’s about creating a safe place to be real and discovering that God is already present in the very places you’re struggling.
Sometimes that looks like slowing down enough to let God draw out what’s really happening in your heart, because your story matters. Sometimes it looks like remembering you are not invisible, because God is near to the brokenhearted and He sees you. And often it looks like opening His Word and realizing His promises are not just words on a page—they come alive, they untangle the lies you’ve believed, and they set you free.
And it doesn’t stop there. Step by step, God builds new strength, hope, and freedom into your life. Hope starts to rise. Strength begins to return. Freedom grows. He restores you to purpose, to calling, to belonging in His body where we are better together. His plans for you are good—plans to give you hope and a future, even when the season you’re in feels uncertain.
This is why Encounter God’s Promise exists. Out of Romans 1:11–12, with the same heart Paul carried, my desire is to help you grow spiritually stronger—even in opposition—because I know that as your faith grows, my faith will grow too.
And here’s what I’ve found: Biblical Counseling is not just for those who are hurting. It’s for anyone who longs to grow, to be discipled, to know God more deeply. It’s powerful and effective, and when you encounter Him this way, you leave wanting more of Him. You leave more confident that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is with you in your daily life, and that His plans include not only you, but also the people you love and care about.
That’s what Biblical Counseling is at EGP. It’s not just a conversation with me—it’s an encounter with God: His Spirit, His Word, His Son—meeting you in the middle of your real life and leading you into all He has in store for you. I’d be honored to walk with you. You don’t have to carry this alone.
