“Your doctor said you have a short leg…”
Let’s clear that up. 👇🏾
Most of the time, what people are experiencing isn’t actually a bone that’s shorter than the other. True anatomical short legs are rare.
What we usually see is a functional short leg — meaning one leg appears shorter because of imbalances in the pelvis, hips, or spine.
When the pelvis rotates or shifts out of alignment, it can cause:
• uneven weight distribution
• muscle tension on one side
• altered walking patterns
• low back, hip, or knee discomfort
The good news?
Functional short legs often improve when the pelvis and spine are properly assessed and adjusted.
That’s why a thorough chiropractic evaluation looks at the whole structure, not just the symptom.
If someone has ever told you that you have a “short leg,” it may actually be your nervous system and alignment asking for attention.
Your body was designed for balance. ✨
