This May 2nd, experience a day brimming with music, dance, and a spirit that connects us to Mexican traditions.
Every moment promises to be a unique experience you won't want to miss.
Featuring traditional pre-Hispanic music and dance, traditional music and dance by the Chinelos, and folk dances from various regions of Mexico—all presented in a special performance by Danza Tenochtli from Casa Guanajuato.
Held at the Kennett High School Auditorium (100 E South St, Kennett Square, PA 19348).
Doors open at 3:00 PM.
Admission: $15.00 (All proceeds go to support the Danza Tenochtli dance troupes).

"A longtime resident of Smithtown, New York, Charlie was born on April 24, 1935, in the Bronx, New York, to Martin and Catherine Huebner. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and honorably served in the Korean War as a Petty Officer. Always known as a fixer and builder of things, he spent most of his career working at Grumman Aerospace collaborating on projects such as the F14 Tomcat, the E2 Hawkeye, the Apollo Lunar Module (which carried astronauts to the Moon's surface between 1969 and 1972), and the first space shuttle mission, STS-1, which was launched by NASA on April 12, 1981, using the orbitor, Columbia."

"Michael, who liked to be called Mike, graduated from a technical college, earning his Master Automobile Technician certification. After working for 20 years as an auto tech, Mike purchased a Snap-On Tools franchise. He worked as a small-business owner, serving many other automotive technicians and local businesses for 24+ years in the New Castle and Elsmere, Delaware, areas."

"Mike loved being outside. He enjoyed riding and building motorcycles, hunting, fishing, boating, and spending summer vacations at Raystown Lake with his family. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Oxford, PA, and a proud member of the Atglen Sportsmen’s Club in Parkesburg, PA since 2002."

We are big fans of the New London Counseling Center and encourage the community to come out and support them at the Walk for Wellness in May. It's a chance to support a nonprofit that serves people on a sliding scale and a chance to get some fresh air and exercise at the same time. Win-win!

"Outside of his profession, Dick had many passions, hobbies, and interests. As a gardener, he built his own greenhouse, propagated plants from cuttings, and grew a large vegetable garden every year. When it came to photography, he enjoyed photographing his family, taking pictures of landscapes, and documenting his travels. He even constructed a dark room in his basement to develop his own pictures. And when it came to woodworking, he had a large shop where he kept his tools and worked on projects of all kinds, including furniture, cabinets, and doors, just to name a few."

"In her spare time, Nikki enjoyed baking of all kinds, especially decorating and making fancy cakes for the neighborhood kids’ birthdays. She was an avid runner and reader and a member of the Kennett Square Running Club and Willowdale Chapel women’s book club. Nikki volunteered for track and helped out with Pasta Nights for the team. Nikki had many beloved friends and enjoyed going on great long walks with them or out for coffee."

"From 1992 to 2002, Frank and Connie became the owners and innkeepers of a historic bed and breakfast in Cape May, New Jersey, known as the John F. Craig house. While Frank was the primary chef, Connie handled many of the other details of the business, including offering her open heart and listening ears to the many people who came through their doors. She was known to say that her degree in Pastoral Counseling, which she received later in life, was the perfect training for her job as an innkeeper."
