Those gorgeous views are just waiting there. But so is a history of plutonium contamination and the legacy of 70,000 atomic bombs.

At Basic Niche, we want to take a moment to reflect on the individuals and families who have been affected by bone cancer. We recognize the immense strength it takes to endure the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that come with such a diagnosis.

Our hearts go out to every person who has faced this journey—with courage, resilience, and hope. To those currently battling bone cancer, to survivors, and to the families who have lost loved ones.

May you find comfort, healing, and unwavering support in your communities and in the continued advancements of medical research. We stand with you.

Did you work at ?
Did you know .... According to congress.gov.

On July 16, 1945, the United States detonated the first atomic bomb at the Trinity Test Site near Alamogordo, NM.

This atomic weapons test, which was followed by the only two offensive uses of atomic weapons at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, ushered in an era of extensive development and testing of atomic weapons that would last until 1992. During this period, the United States, under the auspices of the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) and later the Department of Energy (DOE), conducted 1,054 atomic weapons tests.
The majority (928) of these tests were conducted at the Nevada Test Site (NTS), a 1,375 square-mile federal reservation located approximately 65 miles north of Las Vegas in Nye County, Nevada. Of the 928 tests conducted at NTS, 828 were underground tests and 100 were atmospheric tests in which the atomic weapons exploded at or above ground level, resulting in radioactive material being released into the atmosphere. These 100 atmospheric tests and the initial Trinity test were the only atmospheric atomic weapons tests conducted in the continental United States and Alaska.

RECA Questions

RECA is finally being reorganized!

Thank you for reaching out about your claim under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act. I want you to know I am happy to review all inquiries for the RECA reinstatement as they come in.
As you may know, many new areas and time frames were newly elected as qualified under RECA with the passing of the “Big Beautiful Bill,”.

This is new information, and I am reviewing the restructured legislation and any guidance daily. I am committed to processing these changes as they come up in order to provide the best claims process possible.

If you choose to work with Basic Niche, please understand the program operates on a deliberate scale. Even with this exciting announcement, it may be a few months before we are able to submit claims accordingly. My share in this process for you will be to implement my knowledge of the DOL procedure manual to your claim and file a fair and reasonable claim, to remove family burden, query 3rd parties for supporting evidence, collect medical records, and maintain a stress-free environment as best as possible. I manage all possible paperwork, document submission, literature, research, impairment, wage-loss, survivorship, and communication on your behalf.

Thank you for your patience as we both stay up to date on the latest RECA changes and guidelines.

We have just three years to ensure that all eligible individuals, families, and nearby community members receive the benefits they are owed. Let's work together to make sure no one is left behind.
It would be an honor to assist you, your family members, and your community in working through this process.
