Good morning. We had the pleasure of welcoming students from Wethersfield Junior - Senior High School to our facility, and they brought so much joy with them. They spent time visiting with our residents and delivered handmade cards filled with kindness and holiday cheer.

Our residents loved the thoughtful messages and the smiles these students shared. Thank you, Wethersfield Jr. High, for brightening our day in such a meaningful way.

Irving Elementary School stopped by today to spread holiday cheer throughout our community. The students delivered the Christmas cards they created and shared their kindness with our residents.

Irving students visited nursing homes around town with their handmade cards, bringing smiles and joy everywhere they went. Our residents loved meeting them and were touched by their thoughtfulness.

Thank you, Irving Elementary, for brightening our day and spreading holiday cheer at Arcadia Care at Kewanee.

We had a wonderful Resident Christmas Party at Arcadia Care Kewanee. A huge thank you to Kinsleigh, The Kewanee Hispanic Heritage Celebration, the Girl Scouts and our amazing staff for making our Angel Tree a success. Your generosity brought so many smiles. And of course, a special thank you to Santa Claus for stopping by and making the day even more magical.

We had the pleasure of attending the Hospice Women’s Group Christmas Luncheon yesterday, and we had to commemorate the day. A special thank you to our Compassus reps, Darcy Thorp and Roganne Johnson, for being our photographers. You captured our team and our fearless leader perfectly.

Merry Christmas to all. It is the season to laugh, be merry, and enjoy life, especially when surrounded by amazing people.

Arcadia Care Kewanee was full of holiday magic today with our festive hot cocoa bar. Residents and families enjoyed building the perfect cup topped with marshmallows, candy canes, chocolate treats, and delicious holiday cookies.

The warm cocoa, the sweet smells, and the laughter made the whole building feel like Christmas. A joyful way to celebrate the season together.

Serving Our Community This Christmas Season

Brandie Swanson from Aledo and Julie Johnson had the pleasure of sorting food for our local FISH Food Pantry, an organization that provides much-needed support to families in our communities. We are both incredibly grateful to assist such a wonderful program.

Food insecurity impacts so many, especially during this time of year. It truly warms the heart to see so many people volunteering their time to help others.

This is the true spirit of Christmas.

Kewanee’s Annual Holiday Parade!

What an incredible turnout yesterday for Kewanee’s Annual Holiday Parade, even on such a very cold day! Our teams from Avenues of Royal Oaks, Arcadia Care of Kewanee, The Gardens, and Villas of Kewanee came together to celebrate the season in true festive spirit.

Arcadia brought along Frosty the Snowman and served up some delicious hot chocolate to keep everyone warm!

The smiles, laughter, and teamwork made it a celebration to remember.

A huge thank-you to all the teams who participated and helped capture these wonderful moments.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
