Maryam came to India from Iran for a two week yoga training just two days before the war began. She doesnโ€™t know if her family is alive, or when/if she can go back to her homeland.

But she came around the lunch table and offered us all almonds and pistachios from Iran, with her beautiful soft voice.

I got her number so I can help organize things here in India in case she needs to stay for a prolonged period.

She asked me to ask my friends to pray for peace. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Personal India update & gratitude gush ๐Ÿฅน

Iโ€™ve been in India for 6 weeks, and it has been FULL! (Saree not saree for not sharing much about it yet ๐Ÿคฃ)

Where to start?
My partner Steve came and I got to introduce him many of my places and important people. It was huge ๐Ÿ˜!!

I brought a group to do Panchakarma and it was amazing. Way more FUN than I expected, and also the transformations were miraculous. We let go of a LOT of ๐Ÿ’ฉ on all levels! Turns out Iโ€™m much less judgy and way more chill and all-embracing without my excess pitta dosha!

We had the honor to lead chant sessions at ลšivarฤtri and for large satsangs. We had incredible feedback about how people were touched by the sound in a way they had never felt it before.

โ€œI am from an Indian family and grew up in Canada taking classical singing lessons my whole childhood, but never really felt connected to my voice or the music until tonight. Hearing your voice and being invited to feel my own vibration was life-changing! Now I want to explore this path with a different sense of LOVE for music.โ€

Hearing that kind of thing makes me want to keep going, doing what I do!

Wrote a chapter for a collab book about how I came to be doing what I am doing, which is very emotional, deep and mystical story. Releasing in June.

Recording an album of Sound Yoga Therapy guided meditations, release date TBA

Got asked to advise on mantra research projects / collabs with medical teaching college linked with national mental health services.

It looks like a lot of the potentials Iโ€™ve felt ripening for years are finally coming into fruition.

So grateful for the hearty blessings of my gurus and support of so many friends and family in India!!

Post panchakarma and 21 day chant retreat, I feel like I am walking on clouds.

My arthritis is a memory, joints move freely like they did 10 years ago. I lost 3 kilos of lymph and bloat.

Residual bitterness and judgment have been purged and I feel mostly gratitude.
Flowing like water through complicated challenging dynamics.

Rest is required, as my organs worked hard to clean out years of accumulated junk. So I am laying low and eating clean and simple.

Working on some creative writing and recording projects, stay tuned!

In two weeks I return to Rishikesh to complete my India reconnection journey and teach and sing for the first 3 days of IYF.

Then home to Hawaiโ€™i after a full two months away. ๐Ÿ˜Š
