Something to think about...

A principal in Port Jefferson sent this out to his staff and it’s spreading to teachers like crazy - new perspective and I have to say that I love this!

“And, what if...”

If we subscribe to the philosophy that life is always working out for us, that there is an intelligence far greater than humans at work...

That all is interconnected.

What if... the virus is here to help us?

To reset. To remember.

What is truly important.

Reconnecting with family and community.

Reducing travel so that the environment, the skies, the air, our lungs all get a break.

Parts of China are seeing blue sky and clouds for the first time in forever with the factories being shut down.

Working from home rather than commuting to work (less pollution, more personal time).

Reconnecting with family as there is more time at home.

An invitation to turn inwards -- a deep meditation -- rather than the usual extroverted going out to self-soothe.

To reconnect with self -- “what is really important to me?”

A reset economically.

The working poor. The lack of healthcare access for over 30 million in the US. The need for paid sick leave.

How hard does one need to work to be able to live, to have a life outside of work?

And, washing our hands -- how did that become a "new" thing that we needed to remember. But, yes, we did.

The presence of Grace for all.

There is a shift underway in our society -- what if it is one that is favorable for us?

What if this virus is an ally in our evolution?

In our remembrance of what it means to be connected, humane, living a simpler life, to be less impactful/ more kind to our environment.

An offering from my heart this morning. Offered as another perspective. Another way of relating to this virus, this unfolding, this evolution.

It was time for a change, we all knew that.

And, change has arrived.

What if...

Practicing humanity once more. A worldly reset. 💝

What a time!

I am hunkered down at home with my husband, making the best of having a full two weeks (at least) tackling home projects, playing some music, getting outside and oh, doing a 10 Day Cleanse.

Given my husband is a Lung Transplant recipient (2 & 1/2 years) and takes immune suppressing medications, I am extra cautious but, do agree we must all help break the curve and minimize the spread of COVID-19 and stay home for at least two weeks.

What an opportunity. For some of us, it’s an opportunity to get to house projects and get close to our loved ones and for those that are experiencing hardship due to the results of this stay at home practice, I wish you the best and may all outcomes be in your favor.

The Art of Health will be closed through March. I hope to be able to take appointments in April. I will keep you posted.

For anyone interested in phone consultations for Vibrant Health or Cleanse Coaching, call (610) 935-0701.

Take care.

Vibrantly,
Jeannette

We know sugar is harmful, some alternative sweeteners are just as bad... But is stevia safe? Best and worst types.

As the Chambers Brothers once sang, "Time has come today."

We are on the move. The Art of Health is on the road to a new location. That location has yet to be determined but, we are hot on the trail, open to suggestions and leads.

We have been above Kimberton Whole Foods since 2002 and it has been a blessing to serve the community here and the community that comes from far and wide. Terry and KWF's have provided the Art of Health with the support and nourishment for us to sustain and grow. For some time, KWF has needed more administrative space so...we are moving.

Much thanks to Terry and the KWF's community.

Our Story

Jeannette has been a holistic health professional for over 25 years. In her twenties she lived and worked with a service community, the PeaceWeavers where she cooked for private clients, retreats and PeaceWeaver events. Through her work with the PeaceWeavers, Jeannette cared for an old Buddhist monk, Bhante Dharmawara, who shared stories from his life of traveling the world and being of service. He had a close relationship with Prime Minister Nehru and worked with Mahatma Gandhi. He lead “green light” meditation and was passionate about supporting people to live happy healthy lives.

Bhante insisted colon cleansing was essential for vital health and longevity, he would often say “cluttered colon, cluttered mind” and “if your digestive system does not work properly than how can you expect your body to work properly?” Working with Bhante, Jeannette became a colon therapist in 1994. Bhante continued to travel the world and would stay with the PeaceWeavers every couple of years; he lived to be 110 years old.

Since that time, Jeannette moved to Chester County, Pennsylvania and opened the Art of Health and the AoH School of Colon Hydrotherapy, where she has been educating people about the wonders of the digestive system, the ease and fun of whole foods cooking and that healthy living is an art that can be easy and fun!

Jeannette is a National Board Certified Colon Hydro-Therapist and a Certified Nutritional Counselor. She is a member of The International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
