❄️ We have to bundle up… but NOT under the buckle! ❄️
With the recent cold weather, it’s tempting to buckle kids in with bulky coats—but thick layers can make car seat harnesses unsafe.

🚗 Winter car seat safety tips:
• Warm the car before buckling up
• Dress kids in thin, snug layers
• Buckle the harness nice and tight
• Add a blanket or coat over the harness after buckling

Cold weather doesn’t mean compromising safety. Let’s keep kids warm and protected on every ride. 💙

A classic line from A Christmas Story! Also a good reminder of something important! Bulky Coats and car seats don't mix! When kids wear thick coats it creates a gap between their bodies and the harness allowing them to move and slip out.
1. Dress them in thin layers.
2. Use a warm blanket.
3. Or cover them with the bulky coat until you arrive.
Enjoy your winter holidays safely!

Bundle them up and be watchful!

Bundle them up and be watchful!

Winter is on it's way! Maybe some outdoor fun too!
Please watch little ones and make sure they have a clear path and are away from roadways when sleigh riding.
Helmet and eye protection is always a great idea.
Dress for the weather. Wear bright colored clothes.

Some good reminders!

Some good reminders!

Slow down. It’s harder to control or stop your vehicle on a slick or snow-covered surface. In fact, 2022 there were an estimated 153,620 police reported traffic crashes that occurred when there was snow/sleet conditions at the time of the crash. On the road, increase your following distance enough so that you’ll have plenty of time to stop for vehicles ahead of you.

Don’t crowd a snow plow or travel beside the truck. Snow plows travel slowly, make wide turns, stop often, overlap lanes, and exit the road frequently. If you find yourself behind a snow plow, stay far enough behind it and use caution if you pass the plow.

🔍 Mystery Solved!

Why do booster seats matter? Because they save lives.

Booster seats help position the seat belt correctly across a child’s body — protecting their head, neck, and vital organs in a crash. Kids who aren’t ready for the adult seat belt alone are at much higher risk of injury.

🧩 The solution is simple:
✔️ Use a booster seat until the seat belt fits properly
✔️ Buckle up every ride, every time

✨ Case closed: Booster seats = lifesavers.
