Our office is growing and we needed more support! Please join me in welcoming Danielle!

Hi, I’m Danielle. I currently provide part-time administrative support at First Step Pediatric Therapy, where I enjoy helping the team stay organized and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. I bring with me years of experience in early childhood education, having previously served as the director of a preschool. That role deepened my love for working with children and strengthened my skills in leadership, organization, and family communication.

As a long-time homeschool mom, I’ve also developed a strong foundation in educational planning, patience, and creative problem-solving—all of which translate seamlessly into my work environment. As a military spouse, I’ve learned to adapt quickly and juggle multiple responsibilities, both professionally and personally.

I’m a proud mom to two teenagers and share a busy home with my husband, three dogs, and three sugar gliders. When I’m not working, I love getting lost in a good book and spending quality time with my family.

We are so excited to welcome Allison to the team! 🎉✨

Hi! I’m Allison, a pediatric physical therapist with experience treating patients from 2 weeks to adults. I have worked in outpatient, school-based, and research settings, supporting children with a wide range of diagnoses including torticollis, plagiocephaly, cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, and other genetic conditions.

I develop and implement individualized treatment plans for my patients, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child is getting the care they need. I have also served as an interventionist at Seattle Children’s Research Institute, contributing to a study on improving mobility in children with cerebral palsy.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University and specialize in using the SpiderCage and in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI). I am currently introductory level B certified and am excited to take the level C class in late July.

I was born and raised in Washington and enjoy hiking in the Pacific Northwest and spending time outdoors. I love spending time with my family and friends, board games, coffee shops, crafting, reading, and road trips.

I am thrilled to be joining the team at First Step in July!

If I listed out all the things these ladies do, they wouldn’t fit on this graphic! Between scheduling, countless emails and phone calls, advocating for our patients, and battling insurance, these ladies sure do it all! They are the key to helping our office run smoothly, and I just can’t thank them enough. Let’s show them a little extra love this week!

We are thrilled to welcome Kelly Daniels, MPT to our team! You can find her at our clinic and in the pool at Snohomish Aquatic Center! 🎉

Hi! My name is Kelly Daniels, and I am a pediatric physical therapist with 24 years of experience working with children, teens, and young adults. I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages achieve functional skills and improve their quality of life.

My experience spans a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Trisomy 21, Williams Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Apraxia/Dyspraxia, and various genetic conditions. I have worked with individuals across the spectrum of functional abilities, from children who are medically fragile and significantly impacted by motor challenges to those with mild motor delays needing support to catch up to their peers. I excel at quickly adapting therapy sessions to meet individual sensory needs and effectively managing both verbal and nonverbal behavioral communication. Collaboration with team members, outside providers, and families is integral to my practice, ensuring optimal outcomes for every child.

I have specialized expertise in vestibular rehabilitation, trauma-informed care, developmental coordination disorder, primitive reflex integration, and functional positioning to support participation in children with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy. My skills also include tone management, implementing programs like the Alert Program and Zones of Regulation, and integrating advanced therapeutic strategies. Additionally, I have extensive experience evaluating, recommending, and justifying adaptive equipment, including standers, gait trainers, wheelchairs, seating systems, patient lifts, bath and toileting equipment, and orthotics (e.g., AFOs, SMOs, and off-the-shelf options).

At First Step, you can find me at the clinic and seeing patients in the water at Snohomish Aquatic Center. Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, canning, and sewing/quilting.
