Happy last day of 2019! What better way to end the year than with a workout??? Here’s a body weight workout for you 💪🏼 19 exercises & 19 reps each (yes, on the lunges it’s 19 each side😘)
1. Squats
2. Plank shoulder taps
3. Reverse lunges
4. Straight leg sit ups
5. Spider-Man plank
6. Ice skaters
7. Pushups
8. Lateral lunge
9. Plank jacks
10. Curtsy lunge
11. Mt. Climbers
12. Squat jumps
13. Deadbug heel taps
14. Ski jumps
15. Side plank hip dips
16. Squat jumps
17. Leg lowers
18. Lunge jumps
19. Burpees

Starting my day with a little yoga & coffee before teaching classes🧘🏼‍♀️☕️ It’s so important to practice active recovery. We work our bodies hard & they need time to rest.

I challenge you to find 10 minutes to stretch or roll out. It’s amazing how much better your body will move & feel💪🏼🎄

So I just discovered TABATA songs on Spotify and LOVE it! It’s so helpful when you’re short on time.

A Tabata is 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest x8 for a total of 4 minutes.

I picked 5 exercises and played 5 songs for a quick 20 minute workout. The songs told me when to move and when to rest. I didn’t have to worry about setting a timer or changing the music. I only had to focus on moving my body!

If you’re feeling stuck with your workouts, try using different tools.
I love using different exercise modalities to mix up my training & keep the muscles guessing! Resistance bands are especially useful because you can take them everywhere and they’re easy to pack.

Learn to listen to your body💙
I say this in class all the time because it’s so important. You know yourself best. You have to learn when to push past mental blocks & when to take it down a notch.
I had my heart set on an intense cardio workout but my body wasn’t having it. Instead I opted for some yoga flows to restore my body knowing that tomorrow I’ll be ready to go all out💪🏼
