So thankful for this morning. Sophia and I presented Beyond Burnout: Why Self-Care Isn’t Always Enough and spent time with some incredible counselors and social workers in Hancock County.

We talked about the hard parts of this work — the moments when you know exactly what someone needs but don’t have the power to give it. The conversations were honest, thoughtful, and a reminder that none of us are alone in the tension between caring deeply and navigating systems that don’t always make that care easy.

It’s always meaningful to be in spaces where we can pause, reflect, and pour back into the people who pour into everyone else.

It was one of those mornings that reminded me why I love this field. 💙

Megan holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and provides compassionate, trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She has a special passion for supporting adolescents and families impacted by complex trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and disruptive behaviors. Megan's approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices including TF-CBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, TBRI, and DBT. She strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward healing, connection, and meaningful change. Sophia is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, offering a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can truly feel heard and understood. She believes therapy is a collaborative process—focused on growth, learning, and building resilience together, not “fixing” you.
Sophia works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. She uses an integrative approach, drawing from CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, and tailors each session to your unique strengths, needs, and goals. Her work focuses on increasing emotional awareness, building practical coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change—at a pace that feels supportive and comfortable.

So excited to finally share a few sneak peeks from our Healthy Hearts & Minds team headshots!

I wanted to invest in our counseling team and demonstrate how we show up professionally. I also included John Davis, as he’ll be stepping into a couple of coaching projects with us in the new year (so excited to share more information soon!)

Between the holidays and everything else going on, I haven’t had nearly enough time to sit with these and really appreciate them yet—but I’m too excited not to share a few. I’m genuinely looking forward to what the new year holds for this team and the work ahead.

We’ll have a Healthy Hearts & Minds booth at the event — stop by and say hello! We’d love to meet you, answer questions about our services, and share resources for mental health support and wellness.

$10 admission (includes food) for all other guests.
