👉 How do I know that I am not imagining what I see in a regression?
Once you are in a deep state of hypnosis, and have directed your subconscious mind to show you memories, it's easy to think you're imagining stuff or making all these images up.
But we shouldn't be thinking while in hypnosis. It's a state of flow - where you are just being. Then the images appear.
Imagination is fueled by the subconscious, just like memories, but there are a few ways to tell if it's "real."
Did the images just appear, or did you actively imagine it?
Does it feel familiar?
Are you physically reacting to that information in any way (abreactions)?
Do you recognize you as you even though you look different?
Overall, the best way to tell is to have a trusted hypnotherapist be your guide. They can often tell the difference by monitoring your actions and mannerisms.
But, at the end of the day, if you get something out of your experience - if it solves a problem for you, gave you entertainment, or even just some time to relax - does it matter if you imagined it?
Tell me your past life experiences. Do you think you were making it all up? If not, how do you know?
