Hello! My name is Tamara Moreal. I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and educator from Independence, Ohio. I attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where I completed the Natural Nutrition program. My desire to become a holistic nutritionist was a result of my own health issues that were resolved using a holistic approach. My belief is that the client holds the key to their wellness and that true health involves a combined approach using nutrition and lifestyle practices. My goal is to use a compassionate, manageable approach to empower my clients to take control of their health using optimal nutrition, targeted supplemental support, and lifestyle recommendations to reach their peak in wellness physically, mentally, and spiritually.
As a nutritionist, I will use my client's valuable insight and participation to establish an accurate assessment of health concerns. An attainable, customized protocol will be implemented to balance the body. This approach can help heal, enhance the quality of life, improve overall health, and promote healthy aging. As a holistic nutritionist, I understand the importance of evaluating symptoms of a “whole person” that indicate health imbalances, as every individual has unique nutritional needs based on their biological make-up and lifestyle.
My roots have certainly contributed to my passion and knowledge of holistic nutrition! I grew up on a 1200 acre working farm that supported sustainable agriculture. We grew our own vegetables, and raised livestock and poultry. From my upbringing, I learned the value of knowing the original source of food, and learned to appreciate the land. In addition, we took pride in cooking everything from scratch and eating produce that was in season when nutrient levels are at their peak. To this day, I continue to grow vegetables, support local farmers markets and enjoy pasture raised meats.
Good nutrition isn’t about rigid suggestions of what you can and can’t eat. It is about enjoying foods in a broad variety, minimally processed; In your kitchen or at your table, which in my opinion, is one of most important parts of a home!
