Today, we reflect on the wisdom and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who reminded us that "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"

At the McNabb Center, we are inspired by this call to action every day as we strive to serve our community and support those in need. Dr. King’s message continues to guide us in building a brighter, more equitable future for all.

Each Friday for the rest of the month, we will be discussing how you can help a love one you suspect is experiencing domestic violence.

The 3 Rs are Reconginze, Respond ,and Refer.

This week we will be focusing on the second R which is respond. When we are helping a loved one or ourselves, it is important to know the signs to look for and then have a conversation that is empowering and confidential.

In recognition of Purple Thursday and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our staff and elected officials came together to raise awareness and show support for survivors of domestic violence.
