Eight years ago:
Seems like a blink of an eye now!
We had 4 kids in 4 sports.
Suppertime was either 4pm or 9:30 because of all the running around with activities. (Every Tues at 6:30 seemed to be the busiest)
Today, my kids don’t need me as much for lunch packing, laundry or driving them places (only that baby I’m holding doesn’t have a license yet).
We were watching James play baseball, now we are sending him off to his next Air Force base.
Megan is a mom now herself.
Jack is driving himself everywhere.
Moms of littles, I know it’s busy, the kids fight, the house seems to always be messy.
Embrace it.
Enjoy the time together.
Make memories.
Because today, I’m laying on my couch, the only person in my house.
It’s quiet.
Life is a v***r.
Not sure what the point of my post is, except for my own reflections. I’m grateful for all the stages of motherhood. It’s with joy and sadness I’m seeing time march on.
I’m determined more than ever to take care of myself so I can keep showing up to make more memories with the ones I love.
I’m grateful for my mom and Miss Brenda and all the other friends that helped me get kids all over the place.
