💖 Celebrating 32 years of marriage with this handsome guy! 🎉 🤩

📸 Someone snapped this picture of us the night we met in 1990! We were so young (I was 20 and he was 22), but it’s pretty obvious that we connected immediately 🫶

Of course marriage can be hard work, but no matter what he always has my back. He is the most generous, kind, selfless, and honest person I know. 🥹

Bluebird Speech Therapy would not exist if it hadn’t been for his support and
encouragement. He unequivocally believes in me and because of that I have learned to believe in myself. ☺️

This quote from the movie Juno is my favorite and perfectly describes our relationship, “The best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly who you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your butt.” ☀️🥰

🙌 Woohoo, look what I got! 👕 Even as recently as three years ago I never would’ve thought that I’d be a small business owner, have my dream job, and see my very own logo on a t-shirt! 🐦 I’m still completely amazed by it all 🤩

I’m especially grateful to .dabbles for my perfect logo design - it brings me joy every time I look at it 🥹 🩵

❄️ Snow days used to be my favorite days of the year, but now that I have a private practice I’m sad that I don’t get to see my clients! 🙁

I hope the snow and ice melt soon so we can all get back to normal! 🤞 In the meantime, stay safe and warm! ❤️

🍀☺️ Sometimes I feel like I should pinch myself because I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to have a speech therapy clinic right on downtown Maryville’s beautiful Greenway! 🌳

🍂 On this perfect fall day, we popped outside during our session. This client is working on saying her L sound and we found so many opportunities for practice, like Looking for Lots of Leaves and telling Leo to Lie down. 🐶

🎉 Not only were we having a great time, but this holistic approach to speech therapy promotes generalization of skills. So much fun and so effective! 👏

🎉 It’s been one year since I decided to take a leap of faith and work towards opening my private practice. I’ve learned a lot and made many mistakes, but I’m so grateful and proud that I am now officially able to focus on my practice full-time! 😌👏

There are so many people who have supported me along the way, but none of this could’ve happened without two very special SLPs, Stidham Speech Therapy and Cher Springer Sanders🥰

Cher, thank you for planting the seed, helping me organize my clinic when I was completely overwhelmed, and teaching me all things cognitive.

Prentiss, thank you for being my inspiration and mentor, convincing me that I could actually do this, and for being the queen of collaboration.
