Echota Family & Urgent Care

Echota Family & Urgent Care A family and urgent care clinic in the Arts and Crafts Community on Glades Road. Call for an appointment, or walk in if necessary.

Echota Family & Urgent Care invites you to avoid the drive into Sevierville to manage your health care needs. House calls are available in a five-mile radius of the clinic. We are conveniently located in the Arts and Crafts Community, not far from the national park and Rocky Top Sports World. We do not accept insurance, so no need to worry about coverage. Our low prices are comparable to most copays, and we also provide receipts for reimbursement.

I'm closing the clinic again.

The park has disallowed us to repair the driveway, and I don't feel comfortable allowing sick and injured people to cross it. I am therefore forced to close and go to another facility.

Starting Monday, I will be working at Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic in Sevierville until June 1, when the their new clinic in Gatlinburg should be open at the base of Ski Mountain. Please be advised that you cannot visit their clinics if you have any insurance. You will need to speak to their billing office about pricing.

I'm sorry that I have been unable to continue to provide service at Echota. If you need medical records, please email a release to Echota.family.care@gmail.com or fax it to 865-328-9440.

Things that are going around right now: tonsillitis, bronchitis, and the Tennessee gift that keeps on giving, sinus. Wash y'all's hands!

GOOD NEWS!!! The clinic is re-opening Monday, December 18th at 8:00 am under the management of Dr Barry Workman. Dana is still the same old PA you've always had. Everything is still on a walk-in basis, so don't worry about making an appointment, and the office visit is still $45.

The air quality is very bad today. Stay inside and mask up unless absolutely necessary. Also, if you feel at all unsafe, go ahead and evacuate. Don’t wait for somebody with a badge to tell you to go.

Just to let you know, the National Park is planning to do a prescribed burn today at Cades Cove. Those of you with PTSD, be prepared. There will definitely be smells, and there may be sirens or other stimulating things. Get rest, stay well hydrated, and try to stay in places that are filtering the air.

Sorry, can't seem to post the picture, but someone sent a very pretty vase of flowers. Thank you!

Going along with all of the other businesses in Gatlinburg, I will start charging an additional 3.5% on all bills paid with a card. For example, a $45 visit will be charged $46.58 if you pay by card. Please call if you have any questions.

Thank you!

The clinic will be closed Friday, September 8th. If you need to see me, come before then or after I get back on Monday, September 11.

The schedule isn't nearly as complicated now, but I wanted to keep y'all informed anyway.

Please don't get sick or injured on a holiday! But if you do, I'm here!

I just watched Co***ne Bear on Amazon Prime. If you are visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, please remember that bears can become vicious beasts that will eat you and steal your drugs. If you see a bear, go the opposite direction. This has been a public service announcement.
