Since I came to the USA in August 2000, I always wondered how we could help “the people." After my undergraduate years at Knoxville College, I felt compelled to give the opportunity I had to become better first to someone else back home in Africa and second never cease to help people in the USA as well. With the blessings of Arbonne, Greatness Fitness and the many wonderful people I know, the oppo
rtunity has finally come. We are proud to announce the upcoming of a dream come true: Meant to Be, Up to Me. Meant to Be Up to Me is non profit organization founded in mind to help empower women, boost self esteem, educate children and help elderly people have a better life, specifically in third world countries. Most third world countries are in need of major help in many fields. Many organizations are helping and doing a lot already. As a born and raised African, I believe I have seen what people really need to rise to opportunities and make the best of them. We are focusing on sending used clothes, shoes, toys and electronics. Nothing will be a hand out. These donations will be sorted out, given to those who truly cannot afford them and the rest will be sold to pay the staff and take care of basic care of the buildings and operations. We are planning on helping teach people a better lifestyle for themselves, where being independent is the key element. It has been said it’s better to teach someone how to fish than to bring them a fish every time. We are planning to build a recreation field for children and a learning/entertaining center elderly people. A teaching and education center for women for someone will teach them how to read and write, teach them about legal rights and health and wellness. Our intentions are to help people (women and children) as much as possible to be proud of who they are and soar to be whatever great being they may dream of.
