Congratulations to Brenda, one of our March Employees of the Month! She works as a Wound Care RN, Enterostomal Therapist and has been with us five years. Here is what we received in her nomination:

🌟 Brenda is an amazing wound care nurse, which is evident by her strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and passion for educating others. She consistently provides friendly, compassionate, patient-centered care and always is willing to step in wherever she is needed, with a smile on her face.

🌟Brenda always goes above and beyond taking care of her patients showing compassion. She is also a great work mom and I appreciate her so much. We are truly blessed to have her!!! Thank you, Brenda, for ALL you do it does not go unnoticed.

🌟Brenda is always the first to step in when there is a need, and she consistently gives her time by volunteering with WeCare and United Way, further showing her dedication to serving others both inside and outside of work.

When asked for the “why” behind her work, Brenda said: “I’ve been at LeConte since July 2020. Studying the root cause & progression of a wound, while observing the outcome of the individualized treatment & healing process, is the thing I love the most about being a Wound Care RN & Enterostomal Therapist. I love to be involved with care and treatment, but most of all, knowing that God Blessed me with the knowledge and skills to help my patients, when they need it most. Witnessing a result of something I helped provide to someone in need, makes me smile and thank God more … while I cry. Thanks to everyone for this.”

Congratulations to Jeremiah, one of our March Employees of the Month! He works in the Emergency Department as a patient Care Assistant and has been with us one year. Here is what we received in his nomination:

🌟 A discharged patient was unable to get home due to heavy snowfall and had been stuck in the ER lobby all day. After finishing his shift at 7 p.m., Jeremiah willingly gave the patient a ride so he would not have to stay overnight. This simple but powerful act shows the compassion Jeremiah brings to work every day.

🌟Jeremiah consistently demonstrates a genuine passion for patient care. He treats everyone with respect and goes out of his way to make sure patients feel safe and supported. He is also a strong team player, always willing to help coworkers, step in during busy moments, and contribute to a positive work environment.

🌟Jeremiah consistently leads by example, showing that doing the right thing, no matter how small, makes a meaningful impact on both patients and the team.

When asked for the “why” behind his work, Jeremiah said: “My favorite things about working here are assisting the nurses and supporting our patients. I enjoy being able to lighten the workload for my coworkers, and if I go home tired knowing I helped provide quality care, it genuinely makes me feel good. I also appreciate the satisfaction that comes when patients and families say thank you and leave feeling better than when they arrived. It reminds me why the work we do matters..”
